What are QR Codes?

Maybe you’ve noticed those cryptic black and white symbols that look like bar codes on the doors of local businesses. They’re called QR codes and businesses use them to advertise or offer special promotions to smart phone users.

In anticipation of increased traffic during the South by Southwest technology/film/music festival, we decided to place a giant QR code outside of our Austin sales office. And not only did many passerbys activate the code on their phones, Fox News Austin showed up to do a piece on how local businesses are marketing in unique ways for SXSW.
